The CHCC has a nationally elected President who serves a term of two years. All CHCC members may participate in the election, and the President takes office at the annual general meeting of the College. Through discussion with the Executive and National Professional Committee the President represents the College on a wide range of issues.

The current President is the Revd Anne Aldridge, Deputy Lead Chaplain at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. Anne was elected in September 2007 and became the President on January 1st 2008.
Commenting on her appointment Anne said:
"I am looking forward to taking over from Chris in the New Year as the President of the CHCC (although his will be a very hard act to follow!). I bring to the role enthusiasm, experience and energy. I have a passion to see the continued professional development of chaplaincy and to represent and promote the members of the College."
